American Academy Jordan > Our British IGCSE/IAL Program

British Pattern IGCSE/IAL Program

We are very grateful to have the ability to teach one of the most recognized qualifications around the world here at AAJ known to be as Cambridge Assessment International Examinations and Pearson Edexcel. We make the most of our experts expertise in teaching the curriculum to the students to achieve the goal of attaining the highest marks in their exams. As the IGCSE/IAL program is an intensive in depth curriculum we offer excellent advises on routes to take on what to focus on and which subjects you should take for you to be enrolled in your desired university and to even achieve your Tawjihi equivalency

Checkpoint Exams

Students aged 11 years old or in general in Year 6 are to be sat in a checkpoint exam ran by Cambridge Lower Secondary Checkpoint to assess our students at AAJ to see their strengths and weaknesses before the real exams which would be the IGCSE/O-Levels and IAL. We work very hard at this stage to ensure that we are building an outstanding foundation in our student’s journey to make their educational journey’s obstacles easy to come over and graduate happily.

IGCSE/O-Levels

At this stage our students would’ve reached Year 10, this would be their time to shine period as It’s one of the most important stages in their scholastic journey. It’s important because It makes up 75% of their whole percentage grade, as they are open to a wide range of subjects we offer the subject of choice teachers with a long experience of teaching, proven through an admission exam at AAJ to be the most efficient subject teacher in communicating the idea to our students.

International Advanced Level

The final stage and the happiest stage for a student here at AAJ is this stage where they would be at Year 11 and Year 12. Our students continue their subjects that they chose from IGCSE and carry them forward onto their IAL’s to complete the subject’s syllabus. This marks 25% of their whole percentage grade. Teachers are taught at AAJ to push even harder at this stage as the syllabus needs more focus and more work from our students to complete the journey with a huge pat on their backs

IGCSE/O-Level

You will have a wide availability of subjects to choose from in AAJ to pass the IGCSE/O-Level to advance to the next level into the AS Level. *Subjects can be divided into their 3 final years to make it easy for them to complete each syllabus*

Advanced Subsidiary Level (AS-Level)

Once you finish IGCSE/O-Level you are open to a new level of AS-Level where you continue your subjects but into a more advanced in-depth level. For you to take a subject in AS-Level you must pass that specific subject in the previous IGCSE/O-Level. *Subjects can be divided into their 2 final years to make it easy for them to complete each syllabus*

Advanced Level (A2-Level)

The last part of your scholastic journey is the A2 Level where you continue your AS-Level subjects in order to be complete the whole subject curriculum for you to graduate.
